Biography
Peter has a background in physical Geography, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and Artifical Intelligence.
Current community involvement: Vice President of the Open Geoscience Committee (since 2017), GRASS GIS Steering Committee (since 2016), OSGeo Charter Member (since 2012), German chapter member (since 2000).
In 2018 he managed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and OSGeo, and triggered that OSGeo became a signatory of the Enabling FAIR data project commitment statement.
