Biography
Daniele Oxoli was born in Como (Italy) in 1990. He obtained the BSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2013. In 2015, he obtained a full-marks MSc degree in Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. In 2019, he obtained a PhD with honors in Geomatics Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
Since November 2015, he is research fellow at the GEOlab (the Geomatics and Earth Observation lab) of Politecnico di Milano. His research mainly focuses on spatial data analysis and spatial statistics. His research interests include data science and visualization, remote sensing and Earth observation. He is currently involved in many research projects connected to the use and the development of Free an Open Source GIS software. Since 2017, he is a Charter Member of OSGeo and Co-founder of the geo-ICT startup company GISdevio S.r.l. (https://gisdev.io).
