Biography
I am a senior academic with experience from various countries (SK, NL, BR) and I currently work as Spatial Sciences Senior Lecturer at the School of Earth and Planetary Science of the Curtin University in Perth, Australia and, at FrontierSI Research Fellow in Spatial Information Infrastructures. My interests and expertise are in spatial data quality, provenance of spatial resources, spatial knowledge infrastructures and standardization of spatial information.
I co-chair Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)’s Data Quality Domain Working Group, and ISPRS’s ICWG IV/III on Global Mapping: Updating, Verification and Interoperability.
My main OSGeo activity is in education and promotion of OSGeo tools - at the moment , I contribute to UN OpenGIS initiative where in Spiral 2 I coordinate the PostGIS capacity building.
