Biography
My interest and expertise is using open-source spatial analysis software to automate GIS and Remote Sensing workflows. I am passionate about advancing the use of open-source technologies in teaching and research.
I am actively involved in the QGIS project and publish several open-source tutorials and full length courses.
I spent 15+ years at Google and worked on several mapping projects. I now run my own company that provides online training on open-source geospatial technologies, including QGIS, GDAL and Python. I am also a visiting researcher at University of Johannesburg.
