Congratulations to all the contributors to Mapbender, which has become
the first project to emerge from OSGeo’s rigorous “incubation” process
and become an official OSGeo project.
This is the culmination of several months of activity, including a detailed
review of software origins and licenses, community function and governance
and software development methodologies. With Mapbender’s adoption by the OSGeo
board, the chair of the Mapbender Product Steering Committee, Uli Rothstein, becomes OSGeo Vice-President – Mapbender.
